IT ALL STARTED IN 2007 ON THE FROZEN ICE OF LAKE MINNETONKA......

We first met on a crisp winter evening under a canopy of bright December stars. Actually, it was unbearably cold and far from romantic, but Andrea instantly caught Johnny's attention on a new Broomball team created by mutual friends. She laughed at his jokes and he impressed her with his athletic prowess. It was love at first sight…well at least for one of us!  Johnny's persistence finally paid off when, after 3 years of relentless advances, Andrea decided to give him a shot. After the first (third date), she was hooked. His clever personality and big heart were things she knew she couldn’t live without! We fell more in love during the sub-zero nights playing together, and the rest is romcom history. 

After three years, we were engaged on the white sandy beaches of Mexico, and we were married a year later in Minneapolis. We currently make our home in New Brighton, Minnesota (which is a suburb outside of Minneapolis).

We are an easy-going couple who love to experience all that life has to offer. We enjoy adventures (both near and far), traveling, playing broomball, a good Netflix binge, cabin weekends up north, and the Great Minnesota Get-Together. We love everything about our city and state (yes, all four seasons) and spend our weekends enjoying our family, friends and each other. We are looking forward to the days and nights that include a little one that we can share these moments with. We can’t wait to go sledding during the first Minnesota snowfall or enjoy cold popsicles on the deck after a warm evening at the park!

Andrea is a beautiful, radiant, strong, caring and hilarious person who is revered by peers for her heartfelt compassion and honest demeanor. She possesses a remarkable capacity to face adversity with elegance, grace and a touch of humor. Andrea is the strongest, most determined and loyal person I have ever met. Andrea can engage with anyone she meets and immediately have a compelling conversation which naturally draws people to her. Andrea loves to read books and has a passion for cooking where she often ad libs a wonderful meal from leftover ingredients, which by the way are my favorite meals. Needless to say, people are always inviting themselves over for an Andrea Dinner. She is beloved by her friends, coworkers and teammates for many qualities which were passed on from her parents and large extended family. Andrea is so close to her family that many of her best friends are actually her cousins. The children in our lives know that Andrea never forgets a birthday nor an opportunity to hand craft a one-of-a-kind personalized greeting card to mark any occasion. She spoils children with love and affection while offering the kind of guidance and insight which can only be harnessed through personal experience. 

Over the past few years, Andrea and I have experienced many things that most couples never encounter. While some of these trials could have, and should have broken us, our relationship has grown to levels I never knew possible. It is with this strength, love and respect that we embrace the life ahead of us with invigorating excitement. I cannot wait to see Andrea’s eyes light up every time she holds our baby. She will be a wonderful mother and I cannot wait to experience our next journey together.

Johnny is an incredible human and I am truly lucky to call him mine. He is kind, caring, compassionate, and understanding. He can make even the toughest moments seem bright and has smile that lights up any room his walks into. His personality is so infectious that when he leaves a room, everyone he meets now wants to be his new best friend. He loves to have fun and go on adventures near and far. He has a huge love for sports and is an incredible athlete who likes to compete (he still plays goalie for competitive soccer and broomball teams). In his spare time, he finds himself playing broomball, golf or soccer whenever he can, and strumming his guitar with friends for a quick afternoon jam session. There truly isn’t a problem he can’t solve, (which I attribute to his love of Vince Flynn novels and years of finely honed Macgevyer skills). Johnny is both reliable and steady when things get tough, and has one of the biggest and most generous hearts I have ever known. He is fiercely loyal and would honestly do anything for those he loves including playing in a Barbie tent in the heat of a MN summer to make one of his favorite 3 year olds smile. All the things I love the most about him are what make him a wonderful partner and friend; and someday soon an incredible father.
